Entitlements
Certain groups of people are entitled to a free Sight Test under the National Health Service.
  Recipients of:

• Income support  
• Pension Credit guarantee credit
• Income based Jobseekers allowance
• Tax credit and named on a valid NHS Tax Credit Exemption Certificate

     If you are:

• Or your partner have an HC2 certificate
• Aged 60 or over
• Aged under 16
• Aged 16,17 or 18 and in full time education
• Aged 40 or over and the parent, brother, sister or child of a person with glaucoma
• Registered blind or partially sighted
• Diabetic
• Suffering from Glaucoma
• Prescribed complex lenses under NHS

Home Visits
If you are unable to travel to the practice we can visit you at your home, carry out a sight test and if required you can choose new spectacles from a selection provided. Although our optometrist is not always able to do this immediately we always hold a list of people needing this service and our receptionist will contact you beforehand when a date becomes available.
